Welcome and thank you for visiting our Media Room.
Like many other Airports and Seaports, St. Lucia's Ports serve as a vital economic lifeline to the Island. The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) is the agency charged with the responsibility for the management of the island's ports of entry and therefore serve as a critical link providing businesses and consumers access to the global market place, generating millions of dollars in economic activity and support the employment of many. Each year, the Seaports and Airports handle imports and exports of over 400,000 tons of Cargo including food, clothing, medicine, fuel, building materials and toys. Nearly everything from your morning coffee to the car you drive comes through one of our ports of entry. The ports also play a pivotal role in the island's important tourism industry by facilitating the movement of over 1,009,794 travellers including cruise, ferry, yacht and stay over visitors.
