Portfolio - Meet Martin President

Our "Meet SLASPA's Port Police Management Team" series this week is on Mr. Martin President, Deputy Chief of Port Police – Southern Division. Mr. Martin President enlisted in the Port Police Department on January 20th 1986. Upon graduation from the Police Training School, he captured three of the seven prizes up for grabs which were Best Recruit and Baton of Honors, Best at all Practical and Military Subjects and Best Pistol Shot. He was first deployed at the Vieux Fort Seaport on July 3, 1986.

Portfolio - Meet Chidi Tobias: SLASPA's Chief Engineer

Last week in our Meet the Management series, you met Ms. Beverly Ann Dulcie, a leading Human Resource professional and a seasoned educator. This week, we introduce you to Mr. Chidi Tobias, Chief Engineer. Mr. Tobias commenced his career at SLASPA in 1997 as the Civil Engineer and was promoted to the position of Chief Engineer in 2005. In his current position, Mr. Tobias has been responsible for the successful completion of a number of projects, including the Rehabilitation of the North Wharf, Resurfacing of the Runway at George F. L. Charles Airport and the Reconfiguration of Shed No. 6.

In our fifth edition of meet SLASPA’s Management Team series we introduce you to a female professional in the Information Technology field with over twenty years’ experience Ms. Grace Michel, Director of Information Systems. Grace Michel joined the Authority in 1984 and worked in the IT Department as a Systems Support Officer providing IT support in the various software applications to all departments. She then served as the Network Administrator where she competently managed SLASPA’s Wide Area Network providing a reliable network infrastructure for the efficient flow of information between SLASPA’s headquarters and its remote locations.

Portfolio - Meet Peter Jean: SLASPA's Director of Airports

In our last edition of our meet the senior manager series, we introduced you to Mr. Adrian Hilaire. This week we present Mr. Peter Fergusson Jean, Director of Airports. Mr. Jean started his Aviation career in 1972. He was first employed with the Civil Aviation Department of the Ministry of Communications, Works, Transport and Public Utilities in St Lucia, as an Air Traffic Control Officer, following his successful completion of a nine months Air Traffic Control training programme, at the Civil Aviation Training Centre in Trinidad, West Indies.
