New Security and Safety Measures at the Airports and Seaports

Effective September 30th, the St. Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority(SLASPA), will be implementing and enforcing new security and safety measures at the airports and seaports.

A vehicle operators’ permit will be in effect at George F. L. Charles and Hewanorra International Airports and at the Castries and Vieux – Fort Seaports, to control access to air and sea port restricted areas.

Permits shall be of two types.

Permanent permits, issued for a period not exceeding two years.

Temporary permits, issued for a particular purpose and expiring on the date of issue.

Persons wishing to gain vehicular access to any restricted area will be required to apply in writing on a prescribed form obtained from SLASPA.
