Gerry George

has been providing technical solutions to businesses in the ICT space for over 20 years. His background is in Information Systems and Economics. An active member of the Saint Lucia ICT Association (SLICTA) and the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG) and his advice is frequently sought after by fellow local and regional colleagues on technical matters and also takes an active role in Caribbean development and exploring ways in which technology can be applied to improving the way of life in the Caribbean region.

Gerry George is an ICT professional, with over 20 years active in the sector. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and a Masters of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Boston University School of Management.  

Over the years he has worked with various governmental organizations including the Water and Sewerage Authority and National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC). He has also worked in or provided services to industries as varied as Health Care, Public Utilities, Manufacturing, Retail, Insurance, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Travel, Shipping & Transportation, Education, Legal, Real Estate, and Entertainment, among others.

A Saint Lucia national, he has been active in advocating the benefits and adoption of ICT in business and national development at the local and regional level. He has participated in policy forums aimed at Telecommunications liberalization, ICT Policy and Legislation and more recently in the regulation of the Telecommunications sector as a Commissioner with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC). He also lectured in ICT courses at the SALCC and UWI.
