The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) advises of further modifications to its Aerodrome operations at the Hewanorra International (HIA) and George F.L Charles (GFLCA) Airports due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reduction in airport and air traffic services hours of operation:

  • Hewanorra International Airport: OPEN DAILY from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

  • George F. L. Charles Airport: OPEN MONDAY TO FRIDAY from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. CLOSED ON WEEKENDS.

 

Section 11 of the Statutory Instrument of the Government of Saint Lucia, Number 91 of 2020: INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

  1. The HIA and GFLCA are open to regional and international flights.
  2. The competent authority may impose travel restrictions, if required.

 

Section 8 of the Statutory Instrument of the Government of Saint Lucia Number 42 of 2020: SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

For the purposes of preventing, controlling and suppressing the spread of COVID-19, with immediate effect:

  1. All arriving passengers are required to provide documented proof of a negative test result for COVID-19 obtained within 48 hours of travel to Saint Lucia.
  2. The negative test result for COVID-19 must be presented prior to departure and upon arrival in Saint Lucia.
  3. Arriving nationals are subject to 14-day quarantine on arrival.
  4. There will be restrictions to the movement of non-nationals during the first 14 days while in country.
  5. All passengers will undergo temperature screening on arrival and upon departure.
  6. Flight crew is exempt from 48-hour testing requirements for entry.  However, flight crew which present with signs and symptoms will be subject to screening and testing. 

Requirement for notification of non-scheduled flight operations
The Government of Saint Lucia requires 48-hour prior notification of non-scheduled flight operations. This includes chartered flights, corporate jets, and general aviation aircraft. Operators are required to complete the form as per link below:
